We create soulful hats. Every piece is designed, woven, blocked, decorated, and finished in our ateliers by the hands of proud artisans and in collaboration with our local communities from Nariño, Southern Colombia. All this implies genuine commitment to active production based on sophisticated and innovative design approaches coupled with mastered handcrafted production processes. Quality is embedded in each sphere of our production chain. Last but not least, we prioritize eco-friendly raw materials, promote reuse, and produce made to last hats.

Yes, at Superior Hats we specialize in creating custom-made hats. You can customize your hat by choosing from a variety of styles, materials, and details. Please check our Custom Made section. Contact us to start the custom design process to info@superiorhats.com.

Our workshops/studios are located in Sandoná and Pasto, Nariño, in southern Colombia. We do not currently offer any open public visits to our workshops/studios; however, we share all details on hat production on our social media and on the website through photos and videos. If you would like to visit us or if you would like to take training in Hatmaking tailored to your requests, please email us at info@superiorhats.com.

We are cautious to work with biodegradable materials native to Colombia or its region. Our Toquilla Straw comes directly from the country, and the felts we use come from different suppliers in Europe and the USA. We make sure all of our suppliers follow sustainable and ethical practices, just like we do, respecting the environment and local communities.

We contribute to the socio-economic development of our communities through the craft in Sandoná and Pasto, Nariño. Our team consists of 13 expert weavers, 4 hatmakers, and several university interns, directly benefiting 18 local families. In addition, we are constantly training new apprentices to preserve and upgrade our craft.

To keep your hat in optimal condition, we recommend storing it in a cool, dry place, avoiding prolonged exposure to sunlight, and gently cleaning it with a damp cloth. We offer free shipping to all over the world. If you live in a challenging location, do feel free to message us so that we can decide the best shipping for you. We make hats by hand and therefore need 3-5 weeks to make one. The products are shipped by air so that the transportation time will be about a week, depending on the location. We will keep you informed about the status of your order and provide a tracking number once it has been shipped.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your hat, we can accept returns, if the piece is in its original condition. For more information, please check our full return policy for more details.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

All caps, accessories & purchases other than hats, can be returned to us in original packaging.

If you wish to return an order, let us know within 14 days of receiving the order.

You will receive your refund within 14 days after the order has been returned to us.

All of our hats are made to order on customer measurements and for that reason it is not possible to return orders.

All of our hats are made to a very high standard and we hope that you will be happy with your order.
